The Cammarch has a long history as a fishery and is renowned for its salmon, trout and grayling. There are over 4 miles of water, divided into 3 beats on the Irfon and over a mile on the Cammarch, so there's plenty of space if you come with a group of friends and if if there's only one or two of you, well you'll be spoilt rotten! The fish are all wild and not stocked so we restrict fishing to fly only and the catch must be released unharmed back into the river, so that it can grow and reproduce and thus re-stock the river naturally.
There's plenty of activities to do in the local area, we are perfectly positioned between three award winning golf courses at Builth Wells, Llandrindod Wells and Brecon so if you are a keen golfer bring your clubs with you. There's horse riding and trekking, and some lovely cycle and car rides, why not visit the beautiful Elan Valley and find out how Birmingham gets its water from the dams there.Or take a trip down Devils Stair Case and then go on to Aberystwyth for fish and chips beside the sea. If you prefer walking then the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains might tempt you, although there are plenty of lovely walks around the village and you'll find it hard to beat the vista from the viewing point at the top of our own mountain, the Epynt, which is just behind the village. The views on a clear day are spectacular and you'll see the Red Kites swooping down into the valley below. Then there's the dark skies if you like star gazing, you don't have to go far to see them, just stand in our garden on a clear night and look up, it's heavenly.
